Before booking an expedition you read carefully the description of the itinerary; If you require more information please contact us. Upon registration Volcanes del Sur Expediciones will send all the details of your trip.

You can make a change in your reservation for another trip with us until a 31 days before the start of the original trip (transferring all of the money you paid). If you make the change within 31 days of the beginning of the trip the conditions detailed in "Cancellations" apply.

Prices are in Chilean Pesos (CLP). Prices in US Dollars (USD) are referencial. In the moment of the payments, the oficial currency exchange rate of Central Bank of Chile will be aplied.

At the time of the booking: 50% of the cost of the trip. The balance of payment will be due 15 days prior to travel. If you ask Volcanes del Sur Expediciones to buy domestics flights for you, will have to cancel 100% of these at the time of booking. Once formalized the reservation and paid, the traveler agrees that is subject to the terms and conditions detailed.

In the case you have to cancel your trip, send us an e-mail to: info@volcanesdelsurexpediciones.com. Refund conditions are those detailed below: Up to 45 days prior to departure: 100% of the payment. Between 44 and 31 days prior to departure: 75% of the cost of the trip. Between 30 days and 16 days prior to departure: 50% of the cost of the trip. Between 15 days and departure day: 0% of the cost of the trip. Volcanes del Sur Expediciones reserves the right to cancel any trip due to an inappropriate booking process or other causes that impede the normal functioning of the service of guided. We will inform you at least two weeks prior to departure of the journey, and will refund 100% of the payments you have made to Volcanes del Sur Expediciones. Other expenses which you might have incurred such as airline tickets, passports, visas, etc. are not responsibility of Volcanes del Sur Expediciones. For those wishing to book a service of guided different on another date with us, be transferred 100% of the amount for the new voyage. The costs of the flights are governed by the policy of the airline. We recommend hiring a travel insurance covering trip cancellations.

No refunds will be made for any unused portion of the services identified in our itineraries.

Included in our services:

• Land transport detailed in the itinerary (truck or Van).
• Food: Breakfast, lunch and dinner detailed in the itinerary.
• Accommodation in double room in the evenings listed in your itinerary.
• Double tents shared in the expeditions.
• Mules and porters on expeditions detailed in the itinerary.
• IFMGA/UIAGM mountain guide in the majority of programmes.
• Rates of national parks and permits.
• VHS radio and technical equipment (ropes, carabiners, ice screws, etc).

 

Not included in our services:

• Flights to/from Chile or domestic flights and related expenses (fees, overweight, etc). At the time of your reservation if you require, we will help in acquiring domestic flights.
• Travel insurance.
• Accident insurance (compulsorily passengers must contract it and sign letter of disclaimer)
• Personal equipment (technical equipment and clothing)
• Meals and drinks not detailed.
• Consumption in accommodation, laundry, phone calls, gifts, etc.
• Costs of visa application
• Tips of mountain guides, porters, etc.
• Supplement for single rooms.
• Taxes on consumption (VAT)
• The courses do not include transport costs, fees to climbing areas and food.

Volcanes del Sur Expediciones will provide you with all the general gear for climbing. This includes tents, material of kitchen, stoves, ropes and technical equipment. You will need to bring personal equipment and clothing indicated in the List of Personal Equipment that we will send to you at the time of the completion of the reservation. In those cases in which there is no support of mules or porters expeditions participants must be prepared to load part of common equipment and food.

Passengers must fill out the medical form and send it to us before the start of the trip. Not to make this procedure involves the cancellation of your booking at your cost as detailed in "Cancellation".

Low: is not necessary experience in mountaineering or skiing. Physical fitness is however recommended.

Low-medium: requires basic knowledge of the use of crampons and ice axes. Basic level of ski mountaineering. This instruction may be given during the same trip. Necessary physical fitness.

Medium: recommended basic knowledge of mountaineering (use of ropes) with experience on slopes of snow / ice up to 40-50 °. Good ski level.

Medium-high: recommended moderate knowledge of experience in technical field of rock or ice climbing and mountaineering. Good ski level.

High: is necessary to have enough experience in rock or ice climbing. Advanced ski level

Each course member must sign the Liability and Assumption of Risk Release and  return it  to Volcanes del  Sur Expediciones.  Member undertake to follow the directions of the instructors, which will not be responsible for the consequences of failure to comply with these instructions or any accident that might occur during the course.

Volcanes del  Sur Expediciones  reserves the right to change the programme or place of the course and exclude the person who by his behaviour, lack of respect for colleagues, instructor or environment. Any case not provided for shall be resolved by Volcanes del  Sur Expediciones.
